With COVID restriction continuing to ease, we are very pleased that 2021 will see the return of volunteers to our school events and classrooms. We are so very excited to be welcoming our volunteers back! 

 

The safety and well-being of the children and adults at Coomera Rivers is paramount and schools have many policies that need to be followed to maintain this.  As you may know, to be a volunteer at any school, you will be required to complete an annual induction and registration process. This is a simple but effective way to ensure that you are safe, the students are safe and the school meets its regulatory requirements.  

We value the contributions that volunteers make to our school and consequently, we have made some small changes to the process to become a 2021 inducted volunteer to make things simpler for parents and the P&C.  

 

This year, the volunteer process will continue to be an online process sent to volunteers to complete in the comfort of their own home and return to the P&C for processing and acceptance. 

 

The induction process will still only takes a few minutes of your time.  There will be a few small updates in the 2021 program around evacuation procedures, lock down and student protection processes.  The most significant change to the program is that we are aiming to have inductions completed by 26 February.  This means that all current families will only have this window of opportunity to become a registered and inducted volunteer for 2021. 

 

So if you intend to offer your assistance in the classroom, in the cafe, on excursion or at school events or in any other capacity within the school community, you MUST have completed the registration and induction process before Friday 26 February.  There are no further inductions and registrations for 2021 volunteers planned after this window.  The flyer below contains all the important information and deadline dates.
