Salaka Drumming
For the last two days, students have been entertained by drummers from Africa, learning the skills of playing the djembe, an African drum commonly called the ’talking’ drum. From the bass hit, to the tone hit, to the slap hit, all students had the chance to play the instrument and what a great sound they made. Learning about African culture at the same time, the show captivated everyone’s attention - especially when they did back flips!
