OSHC news - Team Building at OSHC
We have been putting a focus on team building over the last few weeks, programming some activities to help the children develop these skills. On Monday morning, the educators facilitated a trust walk for the children to complete. The children paired up with one of their peers, one child was given a blindfold to wear, and the other child was given the task of guiding their partner through a short obstacle course. This activity is a popular team building activity that focuses on building trust amongst peers as well as developing important communication skills. The trust walk prompted some questions and reflections around why trust is so important in our relationships, the guides responsibility for their peers safety as they navigate through the course and how this relates to everyday scenarios.
The children thoroughly enjoyed this activity, while gaining some important skills. We can't wait to see them apply these skills to real life situations.
