AFLQ Schools Regional Cup

After winning the AFLQ Schools cup on the Gold Coast, our AFL Girls progressed to the Regional Cup which was held at Ormeau Bulldogs AFC on Wednesday.

Our girls have been training every Tuesday afternoon and have been improving each week.  We encountered some very good teams from Toowoomba, MacGregor, Marymount and Redland Bay, and managed to win 2 out of our 4 matches.  We were one win away from progressing to the State Cup. We were really proud of the girls, who gave it their all and left nothing on the field.

They represented Coomera Rivers exceptionally well and it has been a pleasure to see the girls excel in AFL.  Special thanks to the parents who came and supported our team, Mrs Ellison who assisted with our training sessions, and Mr Cope who came in whilst on leave to train and coach our girls.
