Principal's news
Dear mums, dads, carers and colleagues
This has been a very busy week for our school and with just 30 school days remaining for the school year, the busy pattern will continue.
Staff Appreciation Day
Thank you to the countless families who treated the staff to some very deserved recognition this week. Our staff team is sublime. The lengths that they go to to support our children and community is truly significant. Thank you to everyone who supported them this week. A special thank you once again to our P&C for their recognition of the staff team as well.
Day for Daniel
Congratulations to everyone who supported our Day for Daniel this year. Our Student Council raised $1056 in donations for the Daniel Morcombe Foundation. Well done Coomera Rivers!

Disco
Well done to our P&C for hosting yet another incredible disco event. Thank you to the staff who also stayed back to support with supervision and assistance behind the scenes. And bravo to the very creative mums and dads who prepared the costumes. Your ingenuity never ceases to amaze me.

Just wonderful citizenship
Class 4K need our collective help to make a difference for others.
Our values at Coomera Rivers State School are Service, Action, Respect, and we believe in helping others. We would love your support for our new student-led community program to help fellow students in need of a little hand up.
The goal of our ‘Graduation Gift It’ program is to offer free clothing and accessories to families in need to ensure all students look and feel fantastic at their Year 6 Graduation.
We are seeking donations of quality pre-loved clothing and accessories suitable for Year 6 students, such as dresses, pants, shirts, vests, shoes, etc in a range of sizes.
Your donation could help a student attend Graduation with confidence, pride and an amazing smile, and may even be the difference between a student attending this special occasion or not.
Not for school
Please note the following rules that we have at Coomera Rivers.
-
No tackle games at play breaks (Be safe)
-
No scooters at school without written approval from the Principal (Be safe)
-
No gum at school (Be safe / Be respectful)
Who ya gonna call?
Parents are required to notify the school on each occasion that their children are absent from school. If you respond with an sms to the absence message that the school sends you, it will not be received. This is a transmission number only, and we will not be able to record the reason for the absence.
The best way to notify of student absence is to call the Absentee Line on on 55968366 or log onto your QParents.
Enjoy your weekend
Kind regards
Vic
