OSHC News - Question Corner
Over the last two weeks we have updating our question corner, making it more children friendly and accessible. The children had previously been enjoying writing on the whiteboards during after school care, ideas for the program or things that they had been enjoying at OSHC. From this observation, we thought we could use this as a way to get our children’s input into the program, menu and routines, making them feel like their voices are being heard and recognised.
Pearl and Taylor were the first to notice the updated question corner, reading through the prompt questions and eagerly asking for some whiteboard markers to use. After throwing some ideas back and forth, Pearl and Taylor came up with some excellent afternoon tea ideas as well as some suggestions for our program. This was such an effective way to gather children’s input, and it was safe to say that the two enjoyed having the opportunity to share their ideas.
