Great work this week
Coomera Rivers HASS Global Innovators
This week saw all Year 6 classes complete the entrepreneurial Global Innovators HASS Program designing solution for the Global Goals. Empathising with our global community, students identified a need for change in a wide variety of issues including gender inequalities, life below water, life on land, responsible consumption and production, climate action & affordable and clean energy to name a few. Students are now busy creating prototypes, building trade show displays and practising their shark tank style pitches.
In a few weeks, we will welcome business and enterprise teachers from our local high schools and a design lecturer from Coomera TAFE to be on our shark tank panel of experts. The engagement, self-directed management of these tasks and passion for being change makers are impressive when students commit to this program.

Regional Global Innovators
Also this week, Coomera Rivers hosted the Regional Global Innovators Program for the second day of this program; the Trade Show & Pitch Event. Four schools and 36 students showcased their design solutions for Global Goals and passionately shared their ideas with their audience of students, teachers and special guests.
Persuasively pitching their business proposals and design solutions to a shark tank style panel and receiving feedback on their ideas was a highlight of the day. If these creative and passionate young people are our future decision makers, we are in good hands. They are most certainly good at learning, good at life.

Writing to Ronaldo
Congratulations to Charlie who wrote this week to Manchester United to tell them of his favourite player - Ronaldo. And they wrote back!

School museum
'My day was extraordinary! 3/4WH opened a museum and teachers, students and parents from all over came to see. I got to see guinea pigs, grasshoppers, crystals, birds, bones and all kinds of interesting items. You should've been there it was awesome! We learnt so much about life cycles, living, non-living and once living things. My favourite was the bones it was really fun trying to guess what animals they belonged too.' ~ Jaeda
