Fuse Cup
The eSports team competed in the FUSE cup last Thursday. Unfortunately this year the competition was held online but that didn’t stop our kids from doing their best. We competed against 11 Gold Coast schools and were also able to watch the Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and Ipswich competition. Paige, Sophia, Lila & Tamara danced as hard as they could and were lucky enough to make it to the final and then place 2nd for the Gold Coast overall. It was a very exciting day and we thank all the eSports team for giving up their lunch break to cheer on the Just Dance team. We look forward to the next competition for Mario Kart in Term 2.
Thank you to Miss Wolbers and Mrs Hardwick for their wonderful support for eSports at our school.

Digital citizens in Digi Design
This term in Digi Design, Years 5 and 6 have been focusing on Cyber Safety and being a smart digital citizen. They have participated in scenarios that will help them develop skills and habits to keep themselves safe while involved in online activities and games, and enable them to use their phone wisely. Students were invited to submit a design for a poster competition, highlighting an aspect(s) of cyber-safety of which all students in our school should be aware. I was very impressed by the creativity of all the designs and the important messages they highlighted. The posters were judged by Mr Meijboom and were awarded to:
Year 5 1st - Bridget, 2nd Ellie
Year 6 1st Matilda, 2nd Lucas.
Look out for many of our students’ posters from all of Years 5 and 6 displayed throughout the school over the next week.

Parents, if you would like more information about Cyber Safety and children in your home check in with the eSafetyCommissioner for helpful tips and resources.
