OSHC News - Collaboration in the sand pit.
On Monday quite a few of the children decided to create their own sandcastles, more specifically, natural landscapes including rivers and mountains.
They worked together to create a track that ran all the way through several mountains structures and they talked about how the water could successfully make it to the other end without stopping.
Jayden was very proud of his efforts during the building process of his very impressive mountain sculpture he built, he showed persistence and creativity.
During this activity the children demonstrated effective collaboration as well as respect, as they were very careful not to step on or damage their friends' sand sculptures.
We love using the sandpit as a play area for the children, as it provides sensory stimulation and encourages them to think outside the box when playing with different tools in the sand.
Not only that, but it's also incredibly relaxing!
