We have completed another terrific week at school with assessment, NAPLAN and Diamond awards the biggest focuses. 

NAPLAN 2019 is completed

Congratulations to our Year 3&5 classes on a great NAPLAN on-line experience.  This was our first trial at this method and I was pleased with how smoothly it went.  This was largely due to the preparation by parents in loading the necessary app and teachers for their management of the test procedures.  The P&C were heavily involved with providing some extra brain snacks (fruit) each morning and the rewards boxes at the conclusion of the program.  Thank you ladies for your great support once again.

Diamond promotions

We classify our student behaviour levels into three categories - Emerald, Sapphire and Diamond.  These gemstones represent the three school colours as well.  The highest level of personal behaviour is Diamond and it is difficult to achieve.  Diamond level students epitomise the qualities to which we want all children to aspire.  These are the children who represent the school with pride, they focus on the learning, their conduct is impeccable, their service to others and leadership at school is admired and their social interactions are highly respectful.  It was lovely to see the very large degree of support they each received from their classmates as well.  Congratulations to the students who earned their Diamond level promotion this week.

This year will see some students in Year 6 receive their fourth Diamond level badge.  Some in Year 5 will have earned their third and some in Year 4 will have earned their second.  To recognise the significance of these achievements, we have created a colour coded badge system.

The original Diamond level badge remains in place then we will progress to Green, Navy and Gold.

School accounts

The school is able to support families who require financial assistance with the option of payment plans for the resource scheme.  If you enter into a payment plan (by instalment) we need every debt honoured.  Unfortunately, students will lose the privilege of attending school camps, excursions or events if debts are active and repayment schedules are not up to date.  Please discuss any concerns about finance with Mrs Porch or the administration team.

School resources

Your children need access to a number of on-line subscriptions each year.   These are the 'text books' from which we set their group or individual courses.  The school can provide you a very cost effective way to supply these (at roughly $3.50 per week per child) or you can provide them privately.  Either way, children use them daily at school and you will enjoy the access through SeeSaw to see directly what your children are learning and doing in class.  If you would like to be part of the school resource scheme, please contact the school before the end of this term.   Only families new to the school will be able to join the scheme after this date.
