Dear mums, dads, carers and colleagues

Term 3 has drawn to an end and, believe it or not, just 49 school days remain for the 2022 school year.  And these days will be packed with learning, assessments, sporting, cultural and academic activities for our young learners.  The calendar above is just the beginning of our planning.  

The past fortnight has seen us extremely busy.  Headlining our achievements have been:

• Wakakirri 2023:  Coomera Rivers is now in the running for the national awards.  Our music department has really been excelling recently, and Wakakirri showed, in my opinion, the very best of what our school offers.  I was just so impressed with how closely the teachers and students worked, to produce an amazing performance.  
• Coomera Cup:  We took on Coomera Springs in a variety of sports this week in the annual Coomera Cup.  I was delighted with the spirit (Fun-Fitness-Friendship) shown by our athletes and spectators.  Thank you sincerely to the coaches for their guidance across the past season and also to the mums and dads who were able to come along to cheer on the Crusaders.  
• Flash mob:  Once again our school came out each afternoon to show off our dance skills.  It was terrific fun and I know the families who were able to watch were just as impressed as me.  

We were also involved in the Year 2 excursion to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, REACH program, STEM Olympiad, AB Paterson public speaking competition for Year 4, Year 5 Surf Safety program, brilliant culminating activities, a regular fire evacuation drill and multiple awards assemblies.  And those adults who were able to attend one of the final KISS concerts watched a moment in entertainment history.  

Thank you to the school staff for their enormous contributions this term.  The opportunities that our staff provide our children are immense.  My sincere appreciation is extended to all of our staff team who contributed so significantly to the successes this term.  Well done!

Personal safety and TRUE Relationships programs

We will be conducting our personal safety and TRUE relationship programs early next term.  Your teachers will notify you of the content and when the program will be implemented.  

I hope that everyone now enjoys a lovely spring break.
