At OSHC we always encourage the children to use their imagination and engage in creative, mindfulness play. Monday afternoon was a perfect example of imaginative, innovative games and play with Miss Cayley and Miss Ange running a game of “Camouflage” and “Portrait”. Camouflage is like a version of mobile hide and seek, where Miss Cayley would count down with her eyes closed while the children would hide. If she turned around and spotted anyone, they would have to be a seeker like her, before she would count down again, and the children would have to move to a new spot. The children had so much fun, and loved playing a different game. It was awesome to watch!

After Camouflage Miss Ange decided to run a game of Portrait, where she would clap her hands before calling out to the children a scene or picture they would have to make within groups. For example, Miss Ange would yell, “pretend you're at the beach” or “you’re at a dance party”.

The children (and educators) had a blast!
