Principal's news
Dear mums, dads, carers and colleagues
Thank you to parents and staff for their care and support for children on what has been a wonderful start to the 2023 school year. for them They are in their classrooms and engaged in learning. Check out some of the images captured this week.

Restructuring of some classes is coming soon
We were 'Oh so close' in our estimated class structure for the 2023 school year. Nonetheless, we will still need to complete a restructure of classes for some students so that we balance out these numbers and keep class sizes below department thresholds. This will happen around the 8th day of the school year and planning has already commenced. The parents of children affected by a change will be informed before we make the restructure.
Attendance at school in 2023
This is an area for some students that requires improvement. I need parents to ensure that their children are at school on time every school day, unless they are sick. If children are sick and cannot attend school, parents are required to inform the school. Our school attendance target is 95% which means absences of 10 days across the year.
School starts with roll call each morning at 8:30am. Please have your children in their classes before this time.
Chess club
Chess club starts on Wednesday afternoon from 2:30-3:30pm in Week 3. The cost each week pays for professional coaching and a teacher to attend the tournaments we compete in each term. Additional costs apply for tournament registration. Please contact Mrs McMurtrie for details. There is a limit of 40 spaces in the chess club.
Kind regards
Vic
