Principal's news
Dear mums, dads, carers and colleagues
As I sit down on this warm Friday evening, I am convinced that anyone who participated in everything we had on offer this week must be exhausted. We finished NAPLAN testing (albeit with some untimely Telstra service issues), trained hard for the Kokoda challenge, went on Year 1 excursion, conducted our strings concert, participated in School's Earth Hour, held our School Council meeting, P&C AGM and general meeting for March, Student Council meeting, raced hard at the cross-country carnival and celebrated Harmony Day today.
Next week is filled with a lot of excursions, swimming lessons and competitions at Pimpama State Secondary College. Check out the calendar above for what's on and contact your child's teacher for more details.
Our celebrations newsletter next Friday evening will detail all that has happened across Weeks 9 and 10 this term. The photo galleries will be HUGE.

Does strong attendance make any difference?
Absolutely YES. Strong attendance leads to optimum learning outcomes and lower anxiety for children and stronger partnerships between parents and teachers - it is as simple as that.
Those students who have attended school 95%+ this term will receive their breakfast ticket next Monday. Bring it along to school for a free pancake.
Kind regards
Vic
