Celebration of learning

This week in Year 3 we have been busy learning about persuasive texts.  We have been working hard to understand how language can be used to express feelings and opinions on topics.We have been learning about persuasive devices such as high modality words, emotive language, rhetorical questions and the rule of 3. Students in 3SB worked hard to write a letter to their families convincing their parents to take them out to their favourite restaurant for dinner. Students in 3A had their chairs quit and had to write to persuade them to come back. The children had lots of fun writing their persuasives this week!
