Coomera Cup
On Tuesday, Coomera Rivers and Coomera Springs went head-to-head in netball, basketball, touch and rugby league to see who would take out the Coomera Cup for 2023.
Basketball and touch were played at Coomera Springs and Coomera Rivers won both of these events. Our basketball team showed great sportsmanship when they won by over 50 points and similarly touch had an 11-0 win.
Netball and Rugby League were both played at Coomera Rivers and in both games, our teams were defeated by Coomera Springs, both in really close results.
To determine the overall winner of the Coomera Cup, Coomera Rivers and Coomera Springs teachers went head-to-head in netball. In a great display of talent and technique, Coomera Rivers teachers were victorious and took out the Coomera Cup for 2023.





Prep – 2 NRL Gala Day
Prep, Year 1 and Year 2 students have participated in an NRL program over the last 3 weeks. Students were taught the skills of Rugby League Tag, coached by NRL staff in their HPE lessons. Students then applied their new skills in several matches at an NRL Gala Day on Wednesday. The students had an absolute ball playing against other students in their year level.





South Coast Athletics
Well done to Mylah, Bailey, Zane, Jacob, Callum and Zara who competed at the South Coast Athletics Trials. At South Coast trials, the Top 3 from each event go through to State trials, and we are lucky to enough to have Bailey going through again this year, as she won her Shotput event.
