Over the last few weeks students from 3H & 3A were afforded the opportunity to participate in "Draw to Remember", a creative educational program launched by RSL Queensland. 

Mr Steve Hill, a local veteran with over 40 years service in The Australian Navy, graciously visited our school to engage with our students, imparting the significance of Remembrance Day. During his visit we were presented with two large boxes of chalk and activity booklets. The challenge presented to students was to create artwork that conveyed our understanding of Remembrance Day along with any personal connections we may have. 

On Monday both classes spent an enjoyable day turning their ideas into a mural which was then presented to Mr Hill. According to Mr Hill it was "The best mural he had seen to date".

Participation in the program allowed students the opportunity to reflect on the past whilst also building connections with members of our community.
