Principal's news

Dear mums, dads, carers and colleagues

 Parent teacher interviews

Thank you to all of those parents that attend Parent Teacher Interviews. It was a great opportunity to meet with your child's teacher and hear about their engagement with learning.  It was very pleasing to see the depth of conversations across the room.  Thank you to our teachers who invested heavily in preparing for the meetings.  Many parents also had an opportunity to hear some more information about The Resilience Project and the positive impact of GEM (Gratitude, Empathy and Mindfulness). Remember you can access The Resilience Project Parent Hub Here

Musical

The school hall was abuzz with excitement this evening, as students, teachers, and families gathered for the school’s much-anticipated musical. This year’s production of Disney- The Jungle Book Kids is a vibrant celebration of creativity, teamwork, and young talent. The students brought the much beloved characters to life with and transformed the school’s hall into a lively jungle. Catchy numbers such as “The Bare Necessities,” featured the entire cast and set the tone for an evening. The set, adorned with lush green trees, jungle vines and authentic looking rocks, created the perfect atmosphere for the wild adventure that captivated the audience. The students’ enthusiasm was infectious, and it was clear they were having as much fun performing as the audience was watching.
Months of preparation have gone into making the musical a success. Under the direction of the school’s Arts teacher, Alana Ellison, students immersed themselves in learning the songs and choreography that transported the audience into the heart of the jungle. Thanks also to the hard work and countless hours from many school staff, the sets and costumes reflected the lush, vibrant world of Kipling’s story. While the performers took centre stage, the success of the musical also relied on the dedication of many behind the scenes. This includes families who I am sure have heard number hours of rehearsal.
It’s been wonderful to see student and staff dedication and the excitement grow as we got closer to the performance.  Coomera River’s production of ‘Disney- The Jungle Book Kids’ once again proved that with dedication, hard work, and a bit of magic, the result is nothing short of extraordinary.

Get ready for 2025

Are your leaving us next year?

If you know that your family is leaving the school at the end of this year, can you please let Mrs Finch know, either by email or phone 55968333.  This way we can create classes on as accurate a number as possible.

Have a lovely weekend
