Celebrations of Learning

Year 3

Throughout the year, our Grade 3 students have been diligently working on improving their number skills. As a fun end-of-term activity, the entire cohort participated in a Blooket challenge in the hall to determine our top three number whizzes. It's important to note that to succeed at Blooket you not only need to know the correct answer you also need to have the fastest response time. By all accounts it appears that a great time was had by all. Congratulations to our three winners; Easton (3A), Khloe (3M) and Salma (3S).

Year 4

Year 4 students have been exploring a variety of ecosystems, looking at food chains and food webs of many different organisms. We have also had fun with composite shapes, creating shape art using multiple 2D shapes and solving tangram puzzles, this was a fun mindfulness activity. We are super excited about the holidays and are looking forward to our final term together in Year 4.

5L Celebrate Term 3 Attendance

This term, students in 5L challenged themselves to improve their school attendance for the last 7 weeks of term, following the first 3 weeks of term. A number of students achieved 100% attendance with many students improving, some significantly. Mrs Leick and Mrs Spedding provided each student an attendance tracker which they added a sticker to daily when they attended school. Mr Meijboom visited on the last day and congratulated the class for their efforts, awarded some students with certificates, and treated the whole class to a game of bingo, with a number of prizes that were won. Keep up the great work 5L.

Year 6 Gallery Walk

This term, students in Year 6 had the opportunity to meet some incredibly inspiring people, our Everyday Heroes. Each student selected one of these amazing individuals to write an inspiring character analysis for and shared their finished product at a recent Gallery Walk in the hall.
