Year 3 excursion
Sees students immersed in our indigenous culture
The Year 3 classes visited Ngutana-Lui in Brisbane later last week. They were immersed in the richness and diversity of Australia’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures. They experienced the living traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. The activities included aspects of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, both traditional and contemporary. They were involved in traditional dances and customs, gathered and ate some bush tucker, tried their skill at boomerang throwing, learned about didgeridoo playing and loved the face painting.
Thank you to our teachers and volunteers who made the day safe and memorable for the students.
