Celebrations of Learning

Year 3

This week, our Year 3 students showed incredible effort and enthusiasm while participating in the NAPLAN testing. During the writing test, they had the opportunity to showcase their creativity by crafting imaginative stories about "The Amazing Ride." It was wonderful to see the students dive into their stories with such originality and excitement! Throughout the week, they remained focused and committed, and their hard work did not go unnoticed. To celebrate their fantastic efforts, teachers threw a special NAPLAN party on Thursday, where students enjoyed a movie afternoon, delicious treats and refreshing drinks. We are so proud of how well they all performed, and it’s clear that their dedication made this experience both rewarding and enjoyable. Well done, Year 3!

Year 4

Year 4 students are learning about contact and non-contact forces in Science this Term. Last week students investigated non-contact forces in games. Students had to follow the instructions and make a cup & ball game. Students played the game by throwing the ball up and attempting to catch it inside the cup. After playing the game students created an annotated diagram showing the forces involved in the cup & ball game.

This week all Year 4 students will be designing and making a cardboard arcade game. They will need to describe the contact and no-contact forces within their game. I'm looking forward to playing some of these AMAZING arcade games!

Year 5

5V have been working extremely hard in class this week during our NAPLAN testing! We have officially completed all 4 tests and got to open our celebration box. 5V are extremely happy to enjoy our movie voucher to watch Flushed Away with complimentary popcorn, smarties, cordial and zooper doopers! Miss Van Der Zee is extremely proud of not only 5V but all the students who completed NAPLAN this year!

Year 6

This term, 6C has been enjoying weekly book club sessions where students dive into chapter readings and come together to share their thoughts and insights. They engage in lively discussions, offering feedback and support to one another. The students love hearing each other's ideas and providing feedback in a fun and collaborative environment. It's been a great way for them to connect, learn, and grow together!
