Celebrations of Learning
Year 3
Well! Ten weeks of Term 1 are almost over. What a busy term it has been, especially experiencing Cyclone Alfred in the middle of it all. And then there was more rain, I'm sure we're all thankful to see the end of the it. There was a substantial amount of "huffing and puffing" during the Cross Country last week, but everyone gave of their best.
We all enjoyed sharing our ideas on the board when we created our story plan about Candyland. Our characters were Gummy Monster dad, Cookie Monster mum and little Jelly babies. In Candland there was a magical Flowberry Fizz River and A Hubbaba Slide. The Sweet family ate too many sweets and Dr Smarties saved the day by giving them a Life Saver each. The moral of the story was: eating healthy food is better for you.

Year 4
Cardboard Arcade Afternoon
Our Year 4 students recently showcased their incredible creativity and engineering skills during our much-anticipated Cardboard Arcade Afternoon! Parents were invited into the classrooms to experience firsthand the amazing, hand-built arcade games designed by our talented students.
From exciting challenges to interactive games, we saw an incredible variety of designs, each carefully crafted with dedication and imagination. Parents and students alike had a fantastic time playing the games, celebrating wins, and collecting prizes.
We are so proud of our Year 4 students for their hard work and ingenuity in bringing their arcade games to life. It’s always a joy to see the innovative ideas they come up with each year!
If you were able to join us, we hope you had as much fun as we did and left feeling just as proud of our students’ achievements. Thank you for your support in making this event such a success!

Year 5
Students in 5Y have been hard at work using their creativity and scientific knowledge to design unique animals capable of surviving extreme weather conditions! Through thoughtful consideration of physical and behavioural adaptations, they developed incredible creatures suited for everything from blistering bushfires to powerful cyclones. Their imaginative designs showcased a deep understanding of adaptation and survival, and we couldn't be prouder of their efforts.
Well done to all our young innovators!

Year 6
On Thursday, March 27, and Friday, March 28, our Year 6 students embarked on an unforgettable adventure at the Runaway Bay Sport and Leadership Excellence Centre. Despite the wet weather, spirits remained high as students embraced a variety of exciting activities, including beach games, stand-up paddleboarding, laser tag, archery, Indigenous games, Survivor challenges, and team-building activities. It was a fantastic opportunity for students to build resilience, teamwork, and leadership skills while making lifelong memories.
