Celebrations of Learning

Year 3

In Year 3 this week, we have been busy with our heads down finalising a number of assessment items. Throughout this term, Year 3 have been exploring information texts and this week 3A has written their information texts for a Prep audience. On Friday, 3A shared their information texts about their favourite animals with Prep S. This purpose for writing gave us an added enthusiasm and zest for writing. We planned, drafted and published our written texts to share with our youngest students. In Maths this week, we have been exploring money. We explored counting collections of money and went shopping in Seesaw to bring real world experience to counting collections and giving change.

Year 4

Over the past two weeks, our Year 4 students have been working with dedication on their assessments, applying the knowledge and skills they’ve developed throughout the term. They’ve written detailed information reports about inspiring people of character, completed number assessments that tested their understanding of math sums, budgeting, and estimation, and demonstrated their comprehension through reading tasks focused on the water cycle. In Science, students explained the stages of the water cycle with clarity and depth.
There is a real sense of pride in what they’ve accomplished! Be sure to ask your child to share their writing or quiz them on the water cycle — their knowledge is fresh and they’re eager to show you what they’ve learned. We can’t wait to celebrate all they’ve achieved this term!

Year 5

This week, 5V students have been working hard as they complete their end-of-term assessments. From writing tasks, problem solving mathematics to hands-on multi-modal posters, students have been showing great focus, determination, and a positive attitude. I am proud of the way  the Year 5 students have supported each other and approached their learning with resilience and enthusiasm!
