Pacifikai Program – Tongan Language Week
This week we celebrated our Tongan brothers and sisters as part of Tongan Language Week. Students were introduced to the traditional Tongan dance, Ma’auluulu, learning the cultural meaning behind the movements before practising and performing it with pride. Dance is a wonderful way to stay active and move, making the experience both fun and healthy. Students then took part in language challenges, such as matching English numbers to their Tongan translations, helping them to build both knowledge and appreciation of the Tongan language and culture.
