Principal's News
Dear mums, dads, carers and colleagues
Thank you to everyone for a terrific Term 3. It has the result of tremendous contributions of staff, our P&C and our families that makes such a impact for our children.
P&C invests to help our kids, families and school
At the P&C meeting on Tuesday evening we discussed:
- 2026 Student Resource Scheme (SRS): We have been able to slightly reduce the costs of the SRS for 2026 which is great news.
- 2026 Student book packs: We also passed a motion to provide the stationery part of the students book packs and remove them from the book lists for parents. This will be a saving to parents of around $45 per student right across the school.
- 2025 Construction of the Year 5&6 ninja warrior course will begin in October and will be ready to use this year. This project totals $194 000.
- 2026 Resilience Project to support the well-being of our children. This project is approximately $28 000 for the year.
Thank you sincerely to our P&C once again.
Magic show reward
The staff at Coomera Rivers distribute hundreds of Rivers Rewards tickets each week when we catch students displaying wonderful behaviours. I am personally acknowledging respect and respectful greetings again this term and have been very impressed with the manners and greetings of our children at school.
The students needed to earn 110 Rivers Rewards tickets this year to receive a free ticket to the magic show that was on this week. And what a show it was!
Disappearing scarves, doubling bananas, kids being sawed into bits, a rabbit in a cannon and a levitating table. Gosh the tricks were impressive! The show by Magic Jake was a huge success and I am most appreciative to our P&C for covering this cost of this reward for students.
The end of year reward will be a water slide style event, held at school in the last days of the school year. We will let everyone know the cost of a ticket (in terms of Rivers Rewards) early next term.

New strings teacher for Term 4
We have an important change for our instrumental music strings lessons for Term 4. Mrs Hannah Baker will be taking up a teaching position closer to her home and Coomera Rivers will be gaining a new strings teacher in Mrs Abigail Kwak. We were able to confirm Abigail's appointment this week, and she popped in for a short visit today to talk to Mrs Baker about the students' progress and had the opportunity to meet many of our strings' students.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Mrs Baker who has done some incredible work with our students this term and wish her all the very best in her next endeavours.

Spring vacation
I hope all of our families and staff enjoy a wonderful spring vacation across the next fortnight. Term 4 is already looking to be a busy time filled with learning and celebrations.
School resumes on Tuesday 7 October at 8:30am.
Kind regards
Vic
