OSHC update

Spring Vacation Care Recap

Our OSHC Vacation Care program has been packed with excitement, creativity, and unforgettable moments! From cultural celebrations to thrilling outdoor activities, the holidays were full of joy for both our students and staff. Here's a quick look at some of the highlights:

Week 1:

We kicked off Vacation Care with the ultimate Silent Disco, and it was a hit—students danced in sync to their favorite tunes, played their favourite dance party games and sung till their hearts content, creating magical moments and plenty of smiles.

Our Roller Skating Excursion was another unforgettable moment! Despite some falls, the children showed incredible resilience, helping one another get back up, and cheering each other on as they rolled their way around the rink. Their teamwork and determination were truly inspiring!

Little Green Thumbs visited for a hands-on free building workshop, where the children got to build their very own wooden masterpieces. It was incredible to see the designs the children came up with, putting lots of thought and effort into making something they were proud of!

Next, the children took on a colorful Putt Putt Adventure at Mermaid Beach, filled with laughs, high-fives, and a surprise slushy treat to end the day.

On the Friday of week one, we held a spectacular Colour Fun Run! The children raced through slime pools, water slides, and a noodle dodge, and the grand finale—a surprise foam machine—left everyone in awe! One of the funniest moments of the day was when the children got the chance to slime Miss Caitlin, which had them all in stitches! ? The day was full of laughter, fun, and teamwork, with our educators getting just as involved as the kids. It was a memorable event, with many kids saying it was the best day they've had at the centre so far! ?

Week 2:

Old Mac Farms visited us in Week 2, bringing along some cute and cuddly farm animals for the children to interact with and learn about.

Next, we had a memorable day at Dreamworld – which was a real highlight. The children had an amazing time meeting animals, including a two-day-old baby goat, enjoying the Tiger Show, and braving thrilling rides. It was a fantastic mix of adventure and learning! ??

Bubblicious Creations came out and wowed our children and educators with her magnificent bubble show. Everyone was blown away with the giant bubbles! Bubble slime was also on the agenda for the day which we knew would be a hit amongst the children.

Then it was off to the new and exciting Robina Park, where the kids explored slides, water play, trampolines, and climbing walls, pushing themselves to new heights with their friends.

We ended the holidays with an exciting Cultural Day, where students embraced the beauty of diverse cultures. They had their faces painted with different designs, tried a new fun Korean game, Gonggi (which was a hit among our younger students) and enjoyed cultural cooking activities, all the while learning about the different cultures that make up our Coomera Rivers OSHC community. The day was filled with laughter, learning, and a true sense of community, including
