Dear mums, dads, carers and colleagues

40 school days remain for the 2025 school year.  Gosh the year has zipped by.  Please make sure that your child is at school every day, on time, ready to learn.  

Congratulations to 6P who had the best class attendance of the school this week at over 96%.

Book week dress up day

Today was fabulous!  I am in awe of the ingenuity and creativity of parents when it comes to book week dress up day.  The costumes are truly next level.  While Wally, Harry & Hermione made a visit, we also had aliens, Dorothy & Toto, Jack and the beanstalk, Macca the alpaca, Bambi, a pigeon, evil queens, and even an amazingly creative magic carpet.

Premier's reading challenge closes

Congratulations to each of the dedicated readers across our school for completing the Premier's reading challenge for 2025.  The list of senior students (and the photo gallery) is shown later in this issue.  Being 'Good at learning' is based on reading and these young learners are well on their way.  Congratulations to them and thank you to their families for supporting them on this terrific achievement.  Junior school winners will be announced on assembly this coming Monday.

Changes to annual awards

The annual awards assemblies are planned for Week 10 this term.  We want to acknowledge the excellence of students across the school at these assemblies, in terms of outstanding:

• academic achievement or
• focus on learning. 

I will explain the criteria next issue.   

2026 SRS (Student Resource Scheme Fees)

• Invoices for 2026 SRS have been generated today and will email out to you. If you do not receive this, please check your junk.
• The payments are due by 27 February 2026. 
• If you would like to set up a payment plan, and wish to discuss options, please email Rosita Day or reply to the invoice directly.
• The 2026 Year 3-6 invoices will show 'Non-Food Component' on the invoice.
• This wasn't updated to show 2026 Student Resource Scheme Fees, so we apologise for this.  
• For families who have school accounts with credits - these will automatically be applied to the 2026 SRS invoice.

Dogs and pets at school

Please remember that pets are only allowed at school with prior consent (excluding service animals).  This rule is for the safety and well-being of all students.
