Celebrations of Learning

3J get creative with 3D shapes

3J have been diving into the world of 3D shapes! We explored what makes a shape three-dimensional and learned about faces, edges, and vertices. The classroom was buzzing with excitement as students investigated real-life 3D objects and shared where they could spot them in everyday life. Then came the fun part – creating our own 3D shapes! Using playdough, toothpicks, and paper nets, students became little engineers, experimenting with different ways to build cubes, pyramids, and prisms. It was a hands-on, messy, and marvellous way to learn.

Year 4

In Year 4 this week students have been learning about Probability, ordering event or the outcomes of chance experiments in terms of likelihood and identify whether events are independent or dependent.  They have been describing everyday events and the possible outcomes of chance experiments and order outcomes of events based on their likelihood of occurring. The children have enjoyed playing dice and card games to help investigate dependent and independent events.

Year 5

Book Week 2025 – “Book an Adventure!”
This year’s Book Week theme, Book an Adventure, invited our students to journey through stories that sparked imagination, courage, and curiosity. Classrooms saw many students dressed as their favourite characters. Thank you to everyone who helped make Book Week such a wonderful celebration of books and adventure!

Year 6

6T students have recently begun their reading sessions with the Kindy children, and what a wonderful start it has been! Each week, our senior students spend time engaging in conversational reading, sharing books, asking questions, and helping our youngest learners develop a love of reading. It’s been heart warming to see 6T students showing such patience, enthusiasm, and leadership as they support the Kindy children’s early literacy journey.

Worldclass Skateboarding Superstar

Huge congrutulations to Louie who recently travelled to Montreal, Canada to compete in the Open Mens Vert contest against amateur and professional skateboarders from around the world. Louie placed 2nd in the Qualifier, went through the semi finals and placed 10th out of the 24 finalists. What an amazing achievement!
