In Week 1, our Year 5 and 6 students took part in an exciting launch to their HASS projects through Global Innovators Day.

The day was filled with creativity, teamwork, and critical thinking as students stepped into the role of changemakers — young entrepreneurs determined to make a difference in the world. Working in groups, they explored a range of local and global issues, discussed the United Nations Global Goals, and identified causes they felt passionate about.

Each group developed a clear problem statement to guide their focus and then brainstormed possible solutions. After thoughtful discussion, students selected one innovative idea to develop into a business concept, which they will refine over the coming weeks in preparation for the upcoming Global Innovators Trade Show later this term.

The energy, collaboration, and creativity displayed throughout the day were inspiring. We can’t wait to see the final projects our young changemakers bring to life — each one working towards a better, fairer, and more sustainable world.
