Attendance Matters
Being absent from school can significantly impact on students' learning and wellbeing.
Research shows that in Queensland, higher student attendance in associated, on average, with higher student achievement. Additionally, attending school everyday helps children to build social emotional skills such as communication, teamwork and resilience.
Under the law, you must make sure that your child attends school on all school days unless there is a reasonable excuse. Schools must monitor the attendance of students and follow up with parents and caregivers for any unexplained absences.
Please contact the school office before 9:30am for each day your child is absent from school.
If your child does not want to come to school, please contact your child's Deputy Principal for assistance and support.
