Touch Football

Congratulations to our class winners 6M Croissants who won the Grand Final of the Coomera Rivers Super 6s Touch Football Competition. In a great tournament played in the spirit of fun, fitness and friendship, classes battled it out in touch footy that went every playtime throughout Term 3.  Two teams rose above the pack to finish the regular season as number 1 and 2 on the ladder. After a semi-final series, they met in the Grand Final.  5S and 5B combined to form the Blue Monkeys and they were gallant in defeat.  Mr Murillo, our touch football coach and all round nice guy was very impressed by the standard of play displayed by our players.

     

Cricket

Next term, the HPE department will be coordinating a playtime cricket competition for our Students in years 5 and 6. Similar to the touch football competition, classes will be encouraged to enter teams and battle it out to become the Coomera Rivers State School cricket champions. Great to see more girls at our school joining up to play club cricket. There are many local teams in our local area including the Coomera Hope Island Cricket Club if your child is interested in cricket.
