Seven students from year 5 and 6 participated in the annual STEAM pentathlon held at Pimpama State School this week. The students, Tori, Jueun, Alyna, Anahera, Flynn, Axel and Dylan, were in a battle to complete 5 challenges across the areas of STEAM – Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Maths. The theme for the day was ‘Cities of the Future’ and students completed designs had to reflect this. Using a variety of materials, students designed, created and shared their responses to the challenges ahead.   While we didn’t place, the students had a great day and worked extremely well together to complete all 5 challenges in the time given.
