Yarning Circle
On Tuesday morning, we were fortunate to have Uncle Brian, an Indigenous Elder, visit our school to consult with us regarding the development of Yarning Circle at CRSS. Uncle Brian shared how Yarning Circles were used as a place to have important discussions leading into decision making, and to pass on knowledge to younger generations. A number of students from Year 4, 5 and 6 have opted to be a part of this process, and were very excited to meet with Uncle Brian. This was a fantastic experience, with students really becoming knowledgeable and proud of their culture.
