Principal's news
Dear mums, dads, carers and colleagues
The final week of 2019 has finished and we can now take a breath and begin to relax a little as Christmas approaches.
Highlights this week
Three big events in the final week have been highlights.
Swimming carnival: The 2 days of swimming carnival were excellent. The weather was warm but cloud cover provided some relief. The students thoroughly enjoyed their events and worked well as a team to earn house points. Well done to the staff on running a fabulous 2 days of swimming and ensuring that everyone stayed safe.
Annual awards assemblies: The two assemblies showcased the standards of excellence across each class in the school. While only three students were able to be selected for the awards, the fact that at least another ten students could have been considered, shows the depth of excellence in our school.
Graduation: A lovely evening befitting the significance of the event. Well done to Mrs Artz and her team on once again leading a remarkable event.

Thank you to the staff team
Our school is unique in just how many additional opportunities we offer to our children outside of the regular school day. There are literally scores of extra-curricular activites available to students across the year. The more that students are involved in these activities, the more they attend school and the better they perform. I am sincerely appreciative to my colleagues for their wonderful work this year before between and after the bells.
2020 classes
Teachers will email families on Wednesday 22 January, welcoming your child to their class for 2020.
Book drop off and meet the new teacher
The school will be open on Friday morning 24 January so families can drop in to the school to meet the 2020 teachers, find the new classrooms and drop off book packs. This is designed to make the first day of school much simpler.
I hope that everyone has a lovely Christmas vacation. Please check in to the P&C Facebook page for information on the 2020 school year.
Merry Christmas
Kind regards
Vic
