We stand against bullying
Friday the 15th March was designated as the day that our nation united to take action against bullying and violence. At Coomera Rivers, it was certainly a day where we really focused on Promise Number 2 on our school pledge, We Stand Against Bullying.
5,726 Australian schools with over 2.4 million students participated in the day of action. To show our support, our students and staff wore orange and used the day to openly discuss the impact of bullying and what we could do to help stamp it out. Students also made a donation to a student council who have decided that our chosen charity this year will be The Starlight Foundation. What better way to combat bullying than to teach children about generosity and kindness! We raised $1169. Well done everyone.
Students who made a donation received a Bullying. No Way! wrist band.
