Our Kokoda training session this Saturday at David Fleays Wildlife Park was once again a huge success.  23 students and 6 staff members braved the rain and spent their Saturday morning running along the mangrove-fringed boardwalk beside the Tallebudgera Creek. There were a number of sprinting drills in the carpark before students pushed themselves to see how many laps of the circult they could complete in an hour.  All up, it was a one and half hour training session with a few stairs and hills thrown in to test the group's fitness and endurance.  

     

Teachers now have the difficult task of shortlisting these students to create 4 teams of four in preparation for the Kokoda Schools Cup in June.  This will be no easy feat given the way all students have not only pushed themselves each and every time, but their ability to provide encouragement and support to each other has been praiseworthy.  These students have certainly been a pleasure to work with and spend Saturday morning with!  A big thank you also to their parents for having them at training at 6:00AM on a Saturday morning!
