We Will Remember Them

With the latest hustle and bustle all around us, Term 2 was at our doorstep before we knew it. While our week one this term looked different to normal, we took it in our stride and donned our bravery medals. Recognising the week that was, we spoke about the bravery the ANZAC’s had to fight for our country all those years ago. We sought our courage from them, we looked up to them and we remembered them.

Using our love and passion for arts and craft, we created a wreath to display in our service, we made Red poppies and placed them in our garden after we learnt they are a symbol of ANZAC Day. The children responded really well to the activities that were centred around ANZAC Day, showing an understanding of their sacrifice and gratefulness of our free country today.

We are loving the time with our children and are already looking forward to next week. We hope you and your family have a lovely, safe weekend remembering the courageous, brave ANZACs. We wanted to let you know, this year you can get involved and remember by lighting up the dawn; standing on your driveway or balcony on Saturday 25 April at 6:00am.
