SNAP! There is no better word to describe the change of weather we have noticed this week at OSHC. We can tell that without a doubt our warm afternoons have been swapped out for chilly twilight evenings.

The drop in temperature has naturally become the focus of our conversations this week. Many children are amazed how quickly it is getting colder as they are playing outside. Many have started wearing their school jumpers around their waist, thinking ahead and having something to warm themselves up. In saying this, the senior students have been very creative in requesting activities that involve physical activity to 'keep them warm outside'.  This week they came up with practicing long jump into the sandpit, having a blast on the playground, playing soccer on the oval and dodgeball in the hall. We are aiming to beat the cold snap and get outside for an activity each day early in the afternoon.

Our mornings at OSHC can be especially cold. We make sure to put on the heaters and make it as cozy as possible. Sometimes we even have a delicious warm milo to keep us toasty with our breakfast. Make sure you bring your jumper so we can all stay nice and warm!
