School drop off and pick up

Schools are chaotic areas at drop-off and pick-up time each day and can be even more so in wet weather.  Please continue to be vigilant in your driving around these times as children are completely unpredictable.  They do not understand speed nor consequences of their sometimes impulsive behaviours.  As adults and motorists, we need to do all we can to be ready, careful and courteous.

Please never:

• Park over driveways at school drop off and pick up - or any time in fact.
• Double park in the car park or streets.  Amazingly some parents have stopped in the middle of the road to pick up their children.  This is a very dangerous act - and is also disrespectful to other motorists.
• Cut into the traffic queue.  Please go to the end of the line.
• Be abusive towards other motorists.  This is just unnecessary.
