Dear mums, dads, carers and colleagues
We have enjoyed an brilliant week at schoolthis week and next week promises to be even better. Please join in with your children at the sports fun days next week, wearing your team colours and cheering them on with gusto. Let's get ready!
Showcase concert
What an amazing event this was. Our strings ensembles, bands, choir, poets, fashion designers and dance troupe thoroughly entertained an appreciative audience. Thank you sincerely to Mrs Ellison, Mrs Blyth and Mr Owens for their tremendous work with learners this semester. And congratulations to our performers on a job well done!

mySpeak finals
Our school public speaking competition, called mySpeak, were held this week. Full details will be in the celebrations newsletter next issue. Suffice for the moment to say that the calibre of public speaker from Prep to Year 6 is exceptional. Well done to all concerned.

Principal's attendance breakfast (Wednesday)
With the help of our wonderful staff, I will be preparing another pancake breakfast for students who have met the attendance standard this term. The target attendance percentage is 87%. Students who have met or exceeded this target will receive a ticket to attend the breakfast. Teachers will distribute these next week.
Report cards are coming (Thursday)
Our teachers have been very busy putting the finishing touches to report cards this week. These will be prepared for email distribution to families in Week 10 (22 June) so please keep an eye on your email accounts on this day.
Pokemon season ends on Friday
Pokemon season finishes at our school on Friday. We have had a lot of children enjoying being able to bring their cards to school each day. The school rules for Pokemon are:
- Cards stay in school bags or with teachers when not in use
- Games are played at main lunch break only
- The game zone is in the Cafe shed area only
- Trading, taking or giving of cards is not allowed
School dental van (Every day)
Many families will have seen the school dental van at school. It will be parked in the Coomera Rivers staff car park until early August, so please make use of this awesome opportunity. Costs for private dental care and procedures can be very expensive but this service is absolutely free. Please contact the very friendly staff on the flier for more information.
Kind regards
Vic
