Class lists for 2024
The 2023 school year is drawing to a close, and next week, our teaching teams will meet to begin the painstaking process of creating class lists for 2024. The placement of students in classrooms is a meticulous and deliberate process that considers many factors including the educational needs and the dynamics of students in each class. Teachers have learned a lot about our children this year and will use this in the creation of the new class lists.
While I understand that you may have specific preferences for particular teachers or may hope that your child is placed with particular classmates, I kindly request that you place your trust in the professional judgement of our teachers as they work to create balanced and diverse learning environments for every child. They are already aware of your child's social, emotional and educational needs and will use this information effectively.
It is natural to hold some personal preferences based on your family's past experiences but I want to emphasise the importance of allowing the people best placed to make these decisions to do this. This will ensure that we can maintain the integrity of the process and ensure fairness for every student.
I wholeheartedly trust the expertise and commitment of our teaching team and can assure you that each of them is dedicated to providing the highest quality education for your child. I ask that you also extend them this level of trust.
Class lists will be finalised by the end of this school year and we will inform families before school resumes next year.
Touch football competition
Good luck to the 20 students and four staff who are competing at the All School's Touch Football competition across this weekend. Training has been great and both our teams are looking forward to representing the school as we take on 80 other schools. We will let everyone know how we go in the next newsletter.
Enjoy your weekend
Kind regards
Vic
