We respectfully acknowledge the traditional custodians of the lands on which we walk, live and learn, the Bullongin & Kombumerri people. We pay our deepest respects to Elders resting in the Dreamtime and to the Elders of today, who will continue to care, protect and nurture the Country that we gather on to learn and connect. We feel both privileged, and grateful to now be sharing and caring for the country on which we are living and learning.

Dear mums, dads, carers and colleagues
I hope that everyone is feeling revitalised from the spring vacation and is ready for a busy term ahead. A quick look at the school calendar will show you how busy things will be across the final 45 days of this term. The calendar is not yet complete as we are still making final plans for some of the annual activities.
Key events include:
- Book Week dress up day (17 October)
- Day for Daniel (Red day) (31 October)
- Cultural Unity celebration (7 November)
Global innovators day
Year 6 students very much enjoyed their Global Innovators Day today as they began their collaborative work to overcome one of the world's toughest challenges.

Book lists for 2026
We will be sending home the 2026 book lists next Friday. Our P&C has contributed greatly to help our students and their families by providing the majority of the stationery requirements, meaning families essentially need to provide the books. This contribution is roughly $45 000. They have also sought a reliable provider for families who might like to order the remaining items through them.
Kind regards
Vic
Friday 7 November
We are encouraging all students and staff to don their cultural, traditional, or national attire, showcase national colours, or proudly represent their favourite national sports teams. So on Friday 7 November, we will come together to honour and celebrate the rich tapestry of backgrounds that make our school community so vibrant and unique.
Do you have a school-aged child ready to start their exciting learning journey, or know a family who does? We’d love to welcome them to Coomera Rivers!
Enrolling early helps us prepare for a smooth and positive start to school life, ensuring every child feels supported from day one.
Please contact our Enrolment Officer, Kylie Finch, kfinc0@eq.edu.au for more details on the process.
As we start preparing for the 2026 school year, it is very important that we know if any students will not be returning to Coomera Rivers. This information plays a vital role in helping us plan class structures, allocate staffing, and ensure the very best start for all students.
If your child will not be returning in 2026, please contact our Enrolment Officer Kylie Finch, kfinc0@eq.edu.au, as soon as possible. Your support in keeping us informed is greatly appreciated.

Tuckshop Day - Friday 7 November
The daily efforts of our Crusaders Cafe team and the many volunteers who support our students and our school have been tremendous this year.
We should remember to say thank you every day, but on Tuckshop Day, Friday 7 November, we will say a very special thank you to this wonderful team.
Our Cafe provides a great service that helps out families who have to juggle many different tasks at the start of each day and some good food helps the students learn and play through the day.
We don’t take their hard work for granted and it is great to see parents putting up their hands and getting involved with our school. Thank you everyone.

Have you registered for QParents?
Here at Coomera Rivers, we encourage all families to register for QParents to help make school communication and administration easier and more efficient for you.
What is QParents?
QParents is a secure online portal that gives parents quick, easy access to your student information including timetables, report cards, payment history, enrolment history, behaviour records and attendance records.
Parents can also use QParents to report future absences, provide reasons for unexplained absences, update student addresses and medical records and pay outstanding invoices.
Coomera Rivers is working towards transitioning to QParents Consent Management for all excursion permissions and consent forms. This change will streamline the process for families by allowing consent to be provided digitally—eliminating the need for paper forms.
How do I register for QParents?
-
Your invitation code (these have been emailed to you - please check junk/spam folders).
-

Uniform price increase – Effective 1 October
Our uniform provider, The School Locker, has advised that there will be a uniform price increase effective from 1 October this year.
They have shared that these increases are unavoidable and are due to rising operational costs.
If your family is in need of any new uniforms, you may wish to make your purchases before this date to take advantage of current pricing.
