Dear mums, dads, carers and colleagues
The school year drew to a close today. It was very busy as we prepared for vacation, tidying the school and classrooms for vacation, and organising for our new classroom furniture to be delivered next week. The new desks and chairs will be ready to go for the start of 2025.
2024 data successes
Report cards were emailed home yesterday and I was delighted with the overall efforts that our young learners have been making each day at school. Below is a visual snapshot of the levels of achievement from Semester 2 student report cards. We are already aiming to build on these results in 2025.
Graduation Assembly
Congratulations to our Year 6 students as they head off to high school. There was both excitement and sadness simultaneously shown on their faces this afternoon as they left primary school for the final time. The cohort has been wonderful and has achieved some amazing outcomes academically, culturally and on the sporting field. I am so proud of how well they have continued to demonstrate what it means to be good at learning and good at life.
Thank you to our school leaders this year, Olivia, Landon, Avei and Hayden for their outstanding representation each and every day. I extend this gratitude to every student who served others at the school this year, with or without a badge, for they have made our school more successful.
Congratulations to everyone who was acknowledge with an award at graduation this week. Of particular note is the efforts of Honor Pohe. Her sporting achievements list was outstanding but add to that her academic focus earning her the School Dux for 2024.
Special award recipients are listed below.

Well done the squads of students in Years 3-6 who participated in the swimming carnival this week. The staff were amazing in ensuring that everyone stayed safe and had an enjoyable time. It really was an enormous team effort led expertly by Mrs Duffy, Ms Findlay and Mr Burrows.

2025 focuses
Next year we will be focused on further improving:
- Our English results
- Our student behaviour standards
- Our links to families and our community
Our planning is already under way with these priorities and you will have already noticed some of them. Things like the return of the school Christmas Concert and a fete and colour run in 2025 are just the start.
Reading over the vacation
Thank you to Ms Costello for her vacation reading tips. Please download the PDF and establish some great vacation routines that will set your child up for immediate success when school resumes.
I hope that everyone has a very merry Christmas and is able to enjoy some precious time with their families.
Kind regards
Vic

The School Locker - Notification of price increase
Please use the lists below to organise 2025 year's stationery supplies. Children will need this stationery on their first day of school.
There is no preferred or recommended supplier, so shop around to find the best price / convenience for your needs.
Religious instruction: If your child is participating in Religious Instruction this year, you will need to arrange their student work books. These workbooks are always very hard to source, so to make things easier, our P&C is organising the ordering for families. You can order your work books through School24
Volunteers are an amazing and valued asset to Coomera Rivers. They help us in classrooms, on excursions, in the library and in Crusaders Cafe. In 2025 we need your help more than ever before.
As you may know, by law, you must complete an annual induction and registration process. This is a simple process and ensures that we meet all regulatory requirements in the way of mandatory training required by the Department of Education.
